MusiCares (Musician's Assistance Program)
This organization assisted Pete in times of his addiction challenges. It is meant for musicians to have a place to turn in times of financial, personal, or medical crisis; its primary purpose is to focus the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community. The foundation's programs include emergency financial assistance, addiction recovery, outreach and leadership activities, and senior housing.

The Little Shelter Animal Adoption Center
Pete’s beloved cat died the same day Pete did. Everyone knows of Pete’s love of animals, and this is a no-kill shelter in Long Island.

Dedicated to men in crisis, the Friars treat chemical dependency and provide primary health care and temporary housing. Clients help pay for their stay through work for the community.
